On 5 October 2020, the organization published the registration form on its official website and remained open until 2 November 2020. The format made a new amend of more decreased height criteria (5 ft 3 in). 31 state representatives will be chosen, one representative each from the 28 states, in addition to one from Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir, and lastly a collective representative from the rest of the Union territories. The entire progress of the contest is scheduled to be completed in four phases with the grand finale to be held in February 2021.

Miss India 2020 runner-up Manya Singh, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, has left everyone feeling proud after her story went viral on social media. Manya is a daughter of an autorickshaw driver, and following the win, her struggles and the inspiring story won praise all over the country. “She left home when she was just six and learned to deal with the harshness of the world at an early age,” her father, Manoj Singh told ANI “She was continuously taunted and bullied. Manya was running away from home, seeking a place where nobody could bully her. That’s when she came to India.” Singh added that she took to drawing and painting when she was around eight years old, and managed to provide for her family. She even has a large fan following on social media. Her story of struggle and victory has touched everyone’s heart. Manya was also felicitated at an awards function on Monday.

Femina Miss India 2020 was the 57th edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for the first time in the history of Femina Miss India, the entire process of the contest was held digitally. The contest is scheduled to be progressed in four phases with the grand finale to be held in 2021.

Suman Rao of Rajasthan crowned Manasa Varanasi of Telangana as the winner. She will represent India at Miss World 2021.

Shivani Jadhav of Chhattisgarh crowned Manika Sheokand of Haryana as her successor. She will represent India at Miss Grand International 2020.
